Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Fellow American Academy of Osteopathic OrthopedicDr. Wakim first graduated with his undergraduate degree from Fresno State University. He then continued on to medical school at the University of Health Sciences, in Kansas City, and went on to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, in Pontiac Michigan to complete his internship. Dr. Wakim has fulfilled residencies at St. Francis Hospital, Wesley Regional Medical Center, Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, Veterans Hospital of Wichita Kansas, and Duke University Microsurgical Reimplantation workshop. |
Professional: | Dr. Wakim was appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to serve on the State of California Osteopathic Medical Board. He is also a past president of the Orange County Osteopathic Medicine Association, a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Specialists, and Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California. |
Patient Services: | Dr. Wakim specializes in the evaluation and treatment of many sports and industrial injuries, including fractures & dislocations, sprains and strains. He also treats spine, cervical, thoracic, and extremities trauma. |
Personal: | Dr. Wakim is the proud father of three amazing children. He is a local resident of Huntington Beach and remains very active in competitive tennis. |
